Review: Macally iPhone Charger

Posted: February 23rd, 2010 | Author: Shawn | Filed under: gear | 3 Comments »

This is going to be a super short gear review. If you have an iPhone or iPod, the Macally PowerLink charger is crazy sweet. It’s a standard USB charging cable, a 2gb USB thumb drive, and an emergency battery all in one thumb sized package. The battery option will jump an iPhone battery up about 1/3. Which is pretty important considering my damn phone battery struggles to last through one full day. That’s heaps of useful for something that takes up zero space in your bag.

I originally saw this charger on Gadling a few months ago and have been using it exclusively ever since. I make a point of having only the most efficient gear in my pack, and this little thingy definitely meets my standards.

Sweet indeed. I’ve been looking for something exactly like this!

p.s. your to-do-list is NOT uninspiring. I don’t think I have Siberia or Kerela houseboats on my list, but they should be…
